DIALOGUE

  • OLE HOLM (1945-)
  • ERECTED 2014
  • The entrance to Nakskov Public Swimming Pool

Nakskov Public Swimming Pool was designed by the architects “Årstiderne”. The building was inspired by the French architect Jean Nouvel who works with nature as a module which forms part of the indoor architecture.

Ole Holm developed an idea for the decoration of the entrance area in connection with the EU project RegioSkill. A project in which German and Danish artists, apprentices, and vocational teachers created several works of art in an attempt to invite new impulses into the dialogue about
”Regional identity”.

The creation for the Public Swimming Pool is a frieze which consists of various modules with references to dialogue and identity. The modules were inspired by Jean Nouvel’s decoration of Musée du quai Branly, Paris.
